"Traitors"??!

Published: Thursday March 6,2008 by back_to_basics

I called people traitors and ‘other stuff’ ???
You’ll have to jog my memory on that one – as far as I remember I’ve said that by and large the left-leaning liberals are the people I loathe, primarily because they’re hypocrites, preaching from their exclusive ivory towers.

“Unfounded accusations”??? Oh dear – you mean against Islam, I presume. Well, I refer you to events in Riyadh – (ie – women not being allowed to drive; swim, or be caught in the company of a non-blood relative male; a woman sentenced to be flogged after being raped…)

Then I’ll refer you to events in the UK – honour killings; forced marriages; polygamy policies… All widely reported (Isn’t there something about 30 odd kids missing from schools in Bradford at the moment? Authorities are concerned that these youngsters have been whisked off for arranged marriages?)

And before you start droning on about the fallacy of composition consider this analogy…

A woman gets hit by a man - it is an isolated incident.
Two weeks later the woman gets hit by a man – it is an isolated incident.
A month later the woman gets hit by a man – it is an isolated incident.
Four months later the woman gets hit by a man – it is an isolated incident.
Six months on the woman gets hit by a man – it is an isolated incident…

But sooner or later connections start being made.

It could be that the woman is plain unlucky.
It could be that it is the same man who is hitting her.
It could be a particularly grim area with a high level of violent assaults.
It could be that she has been targeted for systematic abuse.

The equivalent connections with Islam: the majority of people are getting beyond the ‘it’s an isolated incident’ reasoning. Every time some violent incident, foiled atrocity, or media exploit hits the headlines (ie polygamous marriages) the ‘isolated incident’ argument weakens considerably.

But having said all that…. At which other groups do I level unfounded accusations???? Do answer!

Freedom – well; you tell me who I’m ‘imposing’ on. That’ll be a giggle.

Even by your standards your latest arguments are really very, very feeble Vince. (But still amusing.)
