The point, surely, is not simply whether migrants are getting 'better' treatment, but the fact that they are 'entitled' to anything at all.

People come here from choice - this is not our responsibility, and whether they choose to turn up alone or accompanied by four wives and ten children, I could not personally give a damn if the whole lot of them end up sleeping on a street corner - preferably one outside Downing St.

Those who have contributed nothing should be entitled to nothing. Full stop. Bet you that would put a sharp brake on further migration from the third world. We'd still get the productive immigrants we really need, who largely come from America, Australia, NZ and W.Europe anyway, and who, what's more, don't usually come with a view to getting social housing, free school meals and a British passport and all that entails for serial migration by family members.
